Despite all the flashy effects available on modern PCs, the simplest functions sometimes remain the most elegant. AJScreensaver does nothing more than display the current time as a screensaver, but provides 14 clock designs to give the desktop some flair. We were particularly taken with a digital clock done in a handwritten script. There are few options to the program–all a user can do is select a clock or choose to display a random design. We would like to see a few more features, such as the ability to make the clocks tick, but the software does the simple task it promises quite well.
WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 0.3
AJScreensaver displays the real time by one of 14 clocks. E.g. the handwritten digital clock of Yugo Nakamura, the timeline of Insertmonley a Railwayclock, and 8 clocks of Charles Salim (a Mickey Mouse clock, Hans Donner, Time Dimension). Version 0.3 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
