The Ancient Measures Converter 2.0 (in brief: “AMC2”) is a nice, handy widget converting ancient measures into today’s. An important tool for rebuilding ancient constructions. Made for scientists, researchers, enthusiasts, museums, and other organizations in the field of archeology. This is version 2.0 of the AMC. This software also features a possibility for the user to submit online his or her feedback or new suggestions. Also, the user has a possibility to support future versions of this archeological software. The interface has been changed: while the goal of the AMC v1.0 was compactness, the goal of the AMC v2.0 is the easy reachability. All measures are sorted by their corresponding era, which makes it easy to locate the required measure. The user can configure the software with one click, how many decimals (s)he wants to see inside the result. The AMC2 remembers some recurring settings, and can also “guess” after a certain amount of usages, which category of measures the user might want to use after starting up. Developed by Sven Littkowski (Terra Romana: project “Forum Navis Romana” / The Jamaica Focus MediaStream Corporation / SCI: “Team Jamaica – Moon Runnings”). Categories in v2.0: Distance Measures. Areal Measures. Weight Measures. Liquid Measures. Volume (Dry) Measures. Monetary Measures. Temperature Measures. Measures in v2.0: Ancient Egypt. Ancient Greece. Ancient Rome. Medieval Arabia. Medieval Byzantine. Medieval England. Equivalent modern measures.
